Kafka was known as "the writer who didn't want to be read". There is only speculation as to why he ordered Brod to destroy his work. Perhaps his sickness, tuberculosis, and his intense melancholy contributed to his desire.
Why did Franz Kafka, before his death, instruct his friend Max Brod to destroy all his unpublished manuscripts?
a.because they contained confidential information
b.because they were too personal to be read by others
c.because he was afraid that others might replicate them
d.because he was critical of his own works
So what’s the answer ?
