Why does Kafka choose the violin for Grete to play?

In my opinion, the violin was chosen for its beauty.... the violin symbolizes beauty and the relationship between Gregor and his sister. It's ironic that this symbol of beauty is the one thing that draws Gregor out of his room, and then severs his relationship with Grete forever.
