Frenchie is an indigenous young boy whose mother has been taken by Recruiters. As a result, Frenchie and his elder brother, Mitch, decide to flee. However, Recruiters hear them when Frenchie shouts. Mitch decides to offer himself to recruiters while Frenchie is hiding. Frenchie is rescued by Miigwans and joins other natives. The natives include children who are unfamiliar with the turn of events. Miig starts explaining to them how dreams are integrated into the bone marrow.
