Detail the meeting between Sam and the District Attorney. What did he want and how does Sam react?

The District Attorney wanted information from Sam. He wanted him to reveal the name of the man who was following Thursby, and in turn, he would reveal who killed him. The D.A. believed that Sam had inadvertently gotten himself involved in the murder without his knowledge.... he wanted to know what Sam knew. Initially, Sam reacts in anger. He thinks the D.A, is accusing him of being an accomplice.... or simply stupid. After the D.A. clarifies his thoughts, Sam tells him that he holds no hard feelings.
