Why do you think Edmund should have been told what Aslan had done for him

I'm not sure Edmund should have been told what Aslan had done for him. Edmund had to understand the sacrifice that Aslan, a metaphor for Christ, made for himself. He could not be compelled or guilted into truly knowing what Aslan did and who Aslan was.
