Why did the White Witch make Narnia forever winter?

I know that the tree fell, but I can't figure why she would make Narnia forever winter and no Christmas?

The White Witch has cast a spell over Narnia, making it forever winter, yet never Christmas. Winter without Christmas gives the sense of darkness. Of course there are larger Christian overtones here.

That does not help the fact that it is always winter and never christmas.

it does but it does not i understand that the witch cast a spell but it does not help.
