What clues indicate the identity of Percy's father?

Percy's father is Poseidon. In Chapter Eight, we see Percy energized by the water when he is attacked by the Ares group. The water also heals his woulds, and while in the water a hologram appears over Percy's head that is shaped like a trident. It is a symbol of Poseidon claiming Percy as his son.
