Why is Farid treating Amir differently now, compared to how he treated him in chapter 19?

Fahrid initially treated Amir with disdain and told him he was no true Afghan because he'd been raised in a life of privledge. As Fahrid got to know Amir, he began to see the type of man he was. He came around, and the two learned to appreciate and understand each other.
