what does Hassan dream of before the kite tournament

Hassan dreams that he and Amir are at Gharga Lake. No one will swim because they think there is a monster in the water. Amir and Hassan swim to the middle of the lake despite everyone yelling at them, telling them not to. They realize there is no monster, and afterwards, the lake is renamed after Amir and Hassan.
