"This short experimental film is based on an Athol Fugard play, 'The Island' (first performed in 1973, starring John Kani and Winston Nsthona), which in turn is based on the classical play, 'Antigone' written by Sophocles. The film was directed by Delia Meyer in 2014 as part of a multimedia theatre presentation project for the University of the Western Cape's Humanities programme."
