The Interlopers is told from the perspective of a third-person narrator who knows the thoughts, ideas, and experiences of the two main characters in the story.

"Intruders" is a short story by Saki (alias of Hector Hugh Munro) told from a limited third-person perspective. The narrator is not a character in the story and does not use the first person pronoun 'I', focusing on the thoughts and feelings of one character at a time. In The Intruders, the narrator switches between Ulrich von Gradwitz and Georg Znaim. Trapped under a fallen tree, two sworn enemies forced to confront each other's hatred and lust for revenge.
