Lady Bracknell turns things upside down wherenever she arrives. Her initial disapproval of Cecily engagement to Algernon disipates when she learns there's a good amount of money to be had. Her disapproval of Jack disipates only after she comes to understand that Cecily is his ward. All of this hard won approval, however, means nothing in the end..... especially after Lady Brackness discovers that Jack is her long lost nephew.
