Should companies that make money from information gained from individuals’ cells or tissues be legally obligated to compensate those individuals? How would that compensation be determined?

I'm not an authority on this matter but it stands to reason that companies must have explicit agreement from patients to use their cells and contracts should be made around those agreements. Compensation would be a private matter between the companies and the patients following government laws and regulations.
