After her diagnosis and treatment, how did Henrietta behave? What do these reactions and decisions suggest about her personality?

At first nobody could notice that Henrietta was getting radium treatments. She did not feel the normal side effects like nausea, vomiting, weakness or anemia. The treatment was effective; the tumor was gone and her cervix looked normal. Unfortunately the treatment  left her  infertile. The doctors had not told her about this and Henrietta wished she had never gone through with the treatment. The treatments had left her tired and depressed. The fact that her husband gave her an STD. She commented that "It just feels like the blackness be spreadin all inside of me."
