The Hunger Games

Apart from being found out by the Capitol, that Katniss was hunting in the woods, what other examples show that this was a brave act?

Thanks.

As soon as Katniss leaves the enclosure and crosses the fence line, she is in danger from "packs of wild dogs, lone cougars" and bears. The woods have no paths, and are also occupied by snakes and rabid animals.
