How did the marburg virus get its name ?

It got its name from the laboratory in Germany where the virus first infected the lab workers handling the kidney tissue harvested there. The tissue came from monkeys brought in from Uganda.

The laboaratory was located in Marburg, Germany.... sorry, I was supposed to have added that!
