The elves throw e
The Elves throw empty wine barrels through a trap door into a stream. They float down the Forest River to the Long Lake. Here the men of Esgaroth gather them and send them to be refilled. Bilbo waits for the guards to fall asleep one night (from the wine) to steal the keys. He then releases Balin and they both go to save Thorin.
