In Chapter Five, we see a distinct change in Gatsby's demeanor..... a result of his impending meeting with Daisy. The calm, collected Gatsby becomes like a little boy..... filled with excitement and exhuberhance, frightened he will make a mistake, and above all..... clumsy with nervousness.
