What do you think tom is saying to Daisy when Nick peers through the window? Why is she nodding in agreement? How do you think she rationalizes this? Why do you think Nick doesn’t tell Gatsby about what he saw?

We can infer that Tom is giving Daisy instructions..... to be rid of Gatsby, to free herself from suspicion for Myrtle's death, and making a plan for the immediate future (they leave town right away). Tom is telling Daisy what's what..... and she is defintiely going along with his wishes.
