Since most of his guests ignore him, why do they come to Gatsby's house

Gatsby's guests do not technically ignore him, as most of them aren't even aware of who he is.... they don't know him. As for the reason they attend his parties..... Gatsby's parties are lavish. Great food, endless drinks, entertainment, and the ability to see and be seen are all reasons for the multitude of people in attendance.
