Floyed meets Al sand I think they get along. Al goes around looking for girls, and brags about how Tom killed a man. Al meets a man named Floyd Knowles, who tells them that there was no steady work. He tells them to leave quietly, because everyone else will follow after the work. Al wants to go with Floyd no matter what. Really the migrants are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Should they continue to a place with no work and starve or stay and starve.
