Roy brings up many instances of Globalization's effect on India. In "The art of Spinning", she provides an example of how a generation of Indians are being groomed to facilitate the internal cogs and gears of multinational companies. In Call-Centre school they are trained to answer a myriad of questions from the US. and the U.K. on anything from Credit Card inquiries to computer problems. They are trained to rid themselves of accents and are given Western names.
