How has Jonas's view of his father changed from the beginning of the book to now?

Jonas' view of his parents changes over the course of the novel. Jonas' biggest revelation about his father, however, is the meaning of release and coming to understand what his father does. Jonas is devastated when he comes to understand that release is death, and that his father's actions (job) result in the death of infants.
