Everything that the children learn is closely monitored and regimented. The children receive and lose things to mark maturity. This "maturity" must, however, conform to basic specific personality expectations by the Elders. In my opinion, children should be free to pursue their own likes and dislikes.... they need to act and learn as individuals.
