What is the significance of the fact that An Imperial Affliction doesn't end?

What is the significance of the fact that An Imperial Affliction doesn't end, and why is it so important for Hazel to know what happens?

The lack of ending is signifcant to Hazel because like Anna, Hazel is dying. Their stories are similar, thus, Hazel is looking for answers..... she wants to see what happens after her own death.... she wants to know that everyone will be alright.
