The Duchess of Malfi

Who is the tragic hero in "The Duchess of Malfi"?

I'm not pretty sure if we can consider either the Duchess or Bosola to be the tragic hero or heroin in this play!

bosola is the tragic hero in this play

Bosola can surely be seen as tragic hero in the play.It can be seen that how he works for ferdinand and cardinal and acts as a spy to the duchess but fails to get the wishful rewards. It can also be seen that in the end when he realises the gravity of the crime he has committed and wishes to take revenge,he ends up killing Atonio unintentionally.Hence,he can be seen as a tragic hero who get no satisfaction by taking part in the conspiracy against the duchess.
