“The Dragon Reborn” is the third book in a long fourteen-book series called “The Wheel of Times”. It is a fantasy series enveloping extensive world-building, a huge number of characters and a fascinating magic system.
The third book follows Rand as he is proclaimed the Dragon Reborn and his adventures in the Tear, the challenges he goes through to prove worthy of the title. His friend Mat, and others, follow him there after going through challenges of their own. The plot culminates in a battle between the good and evil, with Ba’alzamon being finally defeated, but the evil force still lingers on.
The series draws influence from a lot of religious teachings and beliefs, and explores themes of evil vs. good, corruption and power, friendship and courage.
