Please can i have a description of judge hathorne

Hathorne is the judge who presides over the Salem witch trials. He remains largely subservient to Deputy Governor Danforth, but applies the same tortured reasoning to charges of witchcraft. He is desperate to prosecute "witches" because his identity, status and job depend on it. Although he tries to appear objective, he clearly looks for reasons to incriminate innocent people.
