Please help. My kid is struggling with thesequestions on this giant project.

Though Parris and Putnam both have unwell daughters, their reactions are both very differnt. Compare and contrast these reactions.

Both men are rather slimy. Putnam has land and money. Putnam feels embittered because the Salem community rejected his brother-in-law for the position of minister. He seeks to exploit Parris and both their daughters to exact vengeance on people in the community who "betrayed" him. Parris also uses his ten-year-old daughter Betty to enable his scheme to gain ownership over the church building and his beloved golden candlesticks. We can certainly question whether either man cares more for their daughter or care more about the reasons they seek to exploit their sickness for their personal gain.
