How does Nettie finally Corrine that Celie is the mother of Adam and Olivia,and that the two of them had met once a long time ago? Does this change their relationship?
Corrine doesn't believe Nettie at first. Nettie tries to make Corrine remember the time when Celie saw her with her children in the fabric store in Georgia. After Nettie brings out the quilt that Corrine bought the fabric for at that store, she eventually remembers. She dies on the same night she remembers so the relationship really doesn't change.
