In the eyes of the Waknuk government, Sophie's parents should not be released. This is simply because they went against the law. They hid a deviation. It is understandable why they did it; they loved their daughter and didn't think she should be punished for something out of her control, but they did something illegal. So, no, Sophie's parents should not be released.
