The Cherry Orchard Ending

Does the play end (final Act) on a positive or negative note?

In my opinion, I'd have to say both. We're not really sure that Firs dies in that last scene. None-the-less, his passing (or isolation) signals the beginning of a new world, a world without class systems and limitations..... a world of possibilities. Firs' death is a art of the life cycle.... and life goes on.
