Why does Holden think life is not a game ? Why? Do u agree ?

I believe this question goes back to the scene in Chapter Two, where Spencer is admonishing Holden about how it is necessary in life to play by the rules. Holden, however, believes the rules to be hypocritical (although he nods). He doesn't believe the game to be genuine.... this is one of the reasons he doesn't believe that life is a game.
