Holden thinks he is being smart and sophisticated. He tries to show that he is in control over the encounter.

Holden wants to have sex with Sunny the prostitute but he is afraid.He looks like a scared kid.

Sunny is nervous and disinterested in Holden's chit chat. She just wants to get the sex over with and leave.
