2. How many pilgrims does the narrator mention and how does he characterize them?

Sorry I could't put both questions together becuase the third question is to long. Need help answering those two questions please.

3. The general prologue reveals certain themes common amongst the characters (and Chaucer's society) such as the contrast between appearance, social status, and friendship, amongst many other themes. Explain.
