Why Kotler did't help Bruno when he fall of swing?

I think there is a reason for Kotler to help Bruno. Bruno is the son of Kotler's superior. Kotler's indifference to the suffering of others makes him unconcerned about Bruno. Helping Bruno does not register with Kotler.
