The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

The Bench and The plaque

I don't know if I missed it, but did the book ever say what was written on the plaque? If so, what did it say?

The plaque was placed on the bench to commemorate the opening of Auschwitz, the German concentration camp.

"'Presented on the occasion of the opening of...' He hesitated. ''Out-With Camp,' he continued, stumbling over the name as usual. 'June nineteen forty."
