why does Death see life in terms of colour?

As taking soul from corpse is Death's duty, Death finds painful when he sees the crying families who are survivors or left-over as their family member died. So the Death doesn't want to see those scenes . So the Death distracts its mind by thinking about the colours instead of seeing the crying families.
