I'm going to go with the end of the book, THE END OF THE WORLD (Part II). Rudy is dead and Liesel finally kisses him. I see this as their final victory. All Rudy ever wanted was Liesel's love and she finally expresses the love he wanted. Liesel, in turn, finally understands what Rudy meant to her.
