What are 3 ways that the Holocaust affects Liesel?

How does the camp and other things affect Liesel.

1) Liesel's mother leaves her with a foster family; her brother dies.

2) Hans (her foster father) teaches her to read and write.

3) Liesel learns compassion in the face of danger from Hans as he helps the people around him..... no matter the cost to himself. It is the most important lesson she will ever learn.

Liesel never goes to the camps, buit she does help those on their way (leaving food in the road), and she does worry about Max.
