The Book Thief Part Three

Liesel learns that Ilsa's son died in 1918, the final year of World War I; Ilsa says he froze to death. Ilsa still suffers because of her son's death, and Liesel tells her, "I'm sorry." She now sees Ilsa as a person, rather than simply the mayor's wife.
