How does the mein kampf add to Max's personality?

On the surface Mein Kampf is Hitler's opus of hatred. The irony is that Max covers the pages of the book outlining his own struggle. It is turned from a book of hate into a book of affection and courage. This represents Max's fighting spirit on an intellectual and creative level. He uses the hatred of one man and turns it into his own creative labour of love.
