How does Liesel rid herself from her nightmares?

Liesel goes to the Amper River bridge, where she takes time to think about her brother and realizes that he will always be six years old. The thought makes her sad, but it also gives her a sense of comfort and joy. From that day forward, she never had another nightmare again.
