Dachau Concentration Camp and the Book Thief

In my english class we have to connect an event from the holocaust to the book "The Book Thief". I chose to connect it to the Dachau concnentration camp and i cannot find any connections from the book.

I don't recall any specific connection to Dachau in the Book Thief. The holocaust is always in the background of this book. The plight of Jews and camps like Dachau are implied within the subtext of the novel. Check this out:
