I don't know that I consider Kempe a particularly prideful woman. The only circumstances under which she might be seen as prideful are directly related to the moments in which she feels vindicated..... the times things she predicts actually happen, the answers to her prayers, and oddly enough, the moments her detractors face their own grief, consequences, or fate.
