The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin

Is this autobiography (Dover thrift edition) a primary or secondary resource? or can it also be consider a secondary resource with some knowledge of primary anecdotes by B. Franklin?

I'm referring to the whole book. I ask this question because it's been hard to determine whether it is a primary or secondary resource due to how even in the cover page emphasizes that there were changes made to the original autobiography.

If the biography has merely had sections cut out, it remains a primary resource. If things have been added or changed, it is a secondary resource.
