It really has to, in the end, become a collective quest. An individual can start it; one person can produce major change. I think there must be a collective desire to move away from people just thinking about themselves to people feeling that other people matter. The happiness of an individual is directly related to how others around that individual function. Tis isn't merely Socialist thought, it is practical thought. The overall health of a society does reflect on the health of an individual.
