Aeneas experiences a horrific storm at sea, caused by Aeolus is response to Juno's wishes. Neptune, angered by another god's iterference in his domain, calms the sea. When he lands at Carthage, Aeneas observes the area and sees no other ships, but does see a group of stags, which are quickly slain and prepared for a feast.
