 Did the author resolve all conflicts by the end of the novel?

The story is narrated in the third person. It is not the author who has had conflicts rather than our protagonist, Tom Sawyer. By the end of the book most of Tom's immidiate conflicts are solved. Injun Joe dies in cave and Tom and Huck are rewarded for their heroism.
