In the Book In the Movie Huck's fortune is worth $6000. It is only $600. The con men are able to escape but are eventually captured and tarred and feathered. They don't escape and are tarred and feathered right away. Huck befriends Buck Grangerford. His friend is Billy Grangerford. The Grangerford and Shepardson feud has been going on for 20 years. It is 30 years. Tom Sawyer is a character in the story. He isn't.
